Our employees will be the first to view “Little City Beautiful” – our 150th anniversary documentary featuring interviews with pivotal Masonic Homes of Kentucky leaders, alumni, senior living industry experts and others to show the thought for our founding, how we have adapted to current needs and how they are building for the future with that same mission at heart.
We will kick off the year with a black tie gala and documentary showing.
We will have a Masonic Homes of Kentucky Day at The Commonwealth’s Capitol, where Kentucky leaders will honor 150 years of heritage, hope and home.
Shelbyville Campus: Register at 7:30 a.m., begin at 8 a.m.
Louisville Campus: Register at 8 a.m., begin at 9 a.m.
Our annual Great Day of Service will be a record-setting one. Along with painting, raking and planting on our Louisville and Shelbyville Campuses, we will set a Guinness World Record for the largest human Square and Compasses.
Join us for a game night with friends benefiting Sproutlings Pediatric Day Care & Preschool. The Frenzy is a wild mixture of trivia games and crazy antics that will keep your friends laughing and entertained at a frenetic pace.
We will host the annual conference for more than 30 Masonic charitable organizations centered on the theme, Perfectly Aged. As the first Masonic Home in the nation, we’ve set a standard. There is no better group with whom to share our celebration than those who have followed our lead and morphed the Masonic mission to build their own programs across the nation.
The alumni will gather to view a special version of the documentary, reminisce and spend time at their old home – our Louisville Campus.

As a final tribute to our 150th Anniversary, Masonic Homes of Kentucky will celebrate the Christmas season in classic style. Saturday, November 25 through the end of December Masonic Homes’ Louisville and Shelbyville Campuses will welcome guests to enjoy sparkling Christmas lights and overflowing decorations. On the Louisville Campus visitors will have the opportunity to tune into a holiday themed audio story through their car radios. The story will take you on a self-guided tour through our historical Campus.
The Louisville Campus will welcome the community to a special holiday event where you’ll find carolers in period costumes, a juggler, magician and other entertainment reminiscent of the 1860’s when Masonic Homes was founded. Enjoy horse drawn carriage rides, festive décor, cookies, cocoa and maybe a glimpse of jolly old St. Nick.
